Skattestyrelsen, the Danish Tax Agency, is strict: every trip needs a date, start and end address, purpose, and kilometres driven. Most people end up with a messy spreadsheet or pay for an app they use twice a month.

So I built Gratis Kørebog, a free online tool that does the boring part for you.

What it does

You enter your trips, and the tool calculates the distance automatically.

It generates a clean PDF that follows Skattestyrelsen's 2026 requirements.

You can optionally log in with Google to save logs and edit them later.

There are no ads and no paywall, and you can try it without creating an account.

Why free?

Mileage logs are a compliance chore, not a product people should have to subscribe to. A simple, correct PDF is all most employees and freelancers need when their accountant or the tax office asks.

Lessons from building it

Start with the rules, not the UI. I read the official requirements first and built the PDF layout around exactly those fields.

Automatic distance beats manual entry. Typos in kilometres are the most common reason a log gets questioned.

Make login optional. Many users just want one PDF for this month, so forcing an account would lose them.

If you drive for work in Denmark, give it a try at gratiskorebog.dk. Feedback is very welcome in the comments.
